\u00c9z\u00e9quiel Garcia-Romeu, artistic director of the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de la Massue, is an inventor of universes; a director and scenographer based at Le 109, Nice's Center of Contemporary Cultures, he works in partnership with the Entre-Pont, which he has co-directed since 2012. <\/span><\/p>\n

He explores contemporary forms of puppetry and new stage writing. His work is conceived as a paradigm within a creative theatrical laboratory.<\/span><\/p>\n

His shows have been programmed at the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre National de Chaillot, the Od\u00e9on, the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de la Commune, the Auditorium du Mus\u00e9e d'Orsay, the Festival in d'Avignon, the Berliner Festspiele, and numerous festivals and venues around the world, which he continues to visit, such as FIBA (Buenos-Aires) or Santiago a Mil (Chile) and the FMTM in Charleville.<\/span><\/p>\n

Between 2015 and 2023, <\/span>\"Le Petit Th\u00e9\u00e2tre du Bout du Monde\", work in progress<\/span><\/i>(in co-production with the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre National de Nice, the TJP - Centre Dramatique National de Strasbourg, La Chartreuse de Villeneuve-l\u00e8s-Avignon and the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre d'Arles). This form will evolve and change over time. The final production of Petit Th\u00e9\u00e2tre du Bout du Monde will premiere at the Festival Mondial de Charleville-M\u00e9zi\u00e8res in September 2023, then at Th\u00e9\u00e2tre 71 (Sc\u00e8ne nationale de Malakoff) and Th\u00e9\u00e2tre National de Nice in 2025.

He took part in St\u00e9phane Briz\u00e9's feature film, Un Autre Monde (Another World)<\/em>, released in France's movie theaters in March 2022.<\/span>
<\/span>He is also developing training workshops and an artistic residency project at Le 109 in Nice with l'Entre-Pont and his company.<\/span><\/p>\n

He was associate professional teacher, PAST, at the University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis, from 2015 to 2022. He took part in a workshop at the Ecole Nationale Sup\u00e9rieure de la Marionnette in Charleville M\u00e9zi\u00e8res in 2017.<\/span><\/p>\n

He directs the INEUPUP Creative Europe project, which aims to develop contemporary puppetry, and has brought together a number of European theatre and higher education partners, including the UCA and the Arts Department, with the participation of Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Trubert.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00c9z\u00e9quiel Garcia-Romeu was associate director at the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre Granit - sc\u00e8ne nationale de Belfort (1999-2003), at the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de la Manufacture - Centre Dramatique National de Nancy (2007-2009), at the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de la Commune, Centre Dramatique National d'Aubervilliers (2013)<\/span>.
