As part of Éclairage Public at l'Entre-Pont, Le 109, Théâtre de la Massue presents :

PERFORMANCE
A legendary California: from Zorro to Ferlinghetti
To coincide with Éclairage Public: California Dreams, two performances will take place at the Théâtre de la Massue:
- History of the aeroplane, by Ézéquiel Garcia-Romeu and Alicia Malialin. Scenographic installation and shadow and object theatre, staging a poem by Lawrence Ferlinghetti about the impact of technological progress on society. This will be followed by a reading of the poem "Blind poet", which describes the cruelty of the world in the face of which the poet, perceiving its reality, is tempted to blindfold himself.
- Overhead images inspired by Ferlinghetti's poem Sueño Real, by Laurie Camous. In this performance, the dominant theme is that of reality mixed with dream, as she describes life as a real dream.

Saturday 25 May at 4pm.

SHADOW THEATRE WORKSHOP

The workshop will be led by puppeteer and director Ézéquiel Garcia-Romeu.

ANIMATED EXHIBITION
A legendary California: from Zorro to Ferlinghetti
For Éclairage Public: California Dreams, we'll be presenting behind a screen the images that evoke the world of the Californian poet Lawrence Ferlinghetti, a Californian rebel if ever there was one, a modern-day Zorro, whose various masks we'll be summoning as our heroes and their cavalry ambush in a Californian landscape to restore justice to the world.
With :

An installation by Ézéquiel Garcia-Romeu,

A transcription of a Californian trip by Katia Vonna Beltran.

From Friday 24 May to Sunday 26 May, 2pm to 10pm (8pm on Sundays).
