He has worked with J.L. Benoit, J. Nichet, J. Echantillon and L. Hatat, among others.
And mainly with Didier Bezace, from 1983 to 2013, at the Théâtre de l'Aquarium and then at the Centre Dramatique National d'Aubervilliers.
And with Ézéquiel Garcia-Romeu, from 2005 to the present day (Opium, Banquet Shakespeare, Petit Théâtre du Bout du Monde I, II, III).

Martine LE SAOUT
Puppet and accessories

After a career as a psychology and genealogy workshop animator, Martine Le Saout embarked on an artistic career that saw her join the Théâtre de la Massue's puppet creation and construction team.

She helps organise construction workshops and develops various manufacturing techniques: sculptures, silicone, resin and latex moulds. 

She collaborated on the creation and construction of the puppets and props for the shows La Lune in 2016-2017, and for the trilogy Le Petit Théâtre du Bout du Monde, Opus I, II and III.

Stéphane MORISSE
Sound designer

A guitarist and composer trained at the Conservatoire d'Avignon, first in classical music, then in jazz, he took a sound course at the ISTS in "Multi-diffusion pour le spectacle vivant", and "Son et scénographie" in Montevideo with Daniel Deshays.

He works in home studio on a range of demos, concerts and musical projects, including Madlab, an electro project, and Water Drops.

Creation of software and sound management for "Là là là", Chanteurs de Sornettes. Since 2007, sound manager at La Garance, scène nationale de Cavaillon. Since 2013, sound manager trainer at the ISTS in Avignon.

Javier SWEDZKY
Actor-puppeteer

Trained in theatre in Córdoba, Argentina, he studied cinema at UN Córdoba. He writes, plays, teaches, interprets and directs works for children and adults, with puppets, object theatre and performances.

Director of the degree in performing arts at the Universidad Nacional de San Martín, Buenos Aires, he teaches dramaturgy, focusing on the discipline of puppet theatre and object theatre.

In 2022, it will take part in the Théâtre de la Massue's tours of FIBA in Buenos-Aires, Santiago a Mil in Santiago, Chile, and FIDEA in Montevideo.

Thierry HETT
Stage manager & puppeteer

It was during his philosophy studies that he shifted by chance into theatre, where he entered through the back door: he trained on the job and quickly gave up his studies to do street theatre.


He then went on to work for various street, theatre, dance and circus companies. He also tried his hand at puppetry with the Arketal and Coatimundi companies.


In 2001, he created the Divine Quincaillerie company with Vanessa Clément.
He has been working with Ézéquiel Garcia-Romeu since 2015.

Alicia MALIALIN
Actress-puppeteer

After training in dance at the Nice Conservatoire and graduating in philosophy in 1999, she began working as a performer in contemporary dance companies such as Antipodes, Trucmuche and Reveida.

She has explored hand puppets with Cie Chat Badabada and wearable puppets with Cie Divine Quincaillerie. She has also worked in theatre with the companies Camarades de jeu, Teatro La Ribalta and Le Grain de Sable.

Philippe NAULOT
Administrator

He returned to France in 2010 after 10 years in Boston, during which time he worked for a contemporary dance company and as a climbing instructor in a nursery school. He has since worked as an administrator and then deputy director in accredited venues (Scènes nationales and Pôles nationaux cirque).

2 years with Covid, followed by a spell with the Camargo Foundation in Cassis, motivated him to work with companies to support their structuring and development.

Simon T. RANN
Actor-puppeteer

An Australian performing artist, teacher, writer and theatre director who lives in southern France, his training for the stage is eclectic and his experience extensive. 

Simon has performed with Cie Philippe Genty over 1,000 times in more than 40 different countries. He continues to work on stage as a performer, and also has his own company, Cie de l'Être, through which he works as a teacher, writer and director, specialising in the use of puppets, objects, materials and the body in creation
of visual theatre.

Inbal YOMTOVIAN
Actress-puppeteer

Trained at the School of Visual Theatre in Jerusalem, she is a multidisciplinary performance artist.

She founded Cie Golden Delicious in 2009. Her work has been performed at festivals in France, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Brazil, Serbia, Croatia, Israel, Thailand and Poland. She has also won 2 prizes for artistic excellence and achievement from the Mayor of Jerusalem, Israel.

She is developing artistic and educational projects in Nice, where she has been based since 2019.

Marie-France LECCIA
Production manager
& tour producer

Marie-France Leccia trained as an ecologist engineer, has a degree in cultural mediation, is a cinema programmer and is now the production manager for the company of the Théâtre de la Massue. She is deeply imbued with her two passions, nature and art.

For over 15 years she has been involved in setting up and running projects and programming events. Her primary aim is to bring artists and audiences together around unique, high-quality productions.

Roxane MERTEN-PALLANCA
Communications manager
& actress-puppeteer

After obtaining a Bachelor's degree and a University Diploma in Law and Political Science, she decided to leave her Master's studies to devote herself to art and culture.

With several years' experience in communications as a volunteer for associations, she began working at Le 109, center of contemporary cultures in Nice, where she developed her skills in community management, web design and graphic design at Le Hublot. She then joined the Théâtre de la Massue to work on communications tasks, before joining its performers team for the Petit Théâtre du Bout du Monde trilogy. She also joined the communications team of the Entre-Pont.

 

Iroslav PETKOV
Actor-puppeteer

An actor for television, cinema and theatre, he has taken part in Bulgarian, French and German film productions.

Over the course of his career, he has won several awards at national and international festivals. A playwright and director, he is also a puppet set designer and has been working with the Théâtre de la Massue since 2017, as an actor, puppeteer and builder.

From 1983-1987, Iroslav trained at the "Kr. Sarafov" in the class of Professor B. Sarchadzhiev, specialising in puppet theatre. From 1998-2000 he furthered his training at the D.A. Tsenov - Svishtov Business Academy, Master's programme, specialising in International Business.

Radio journalist - Radio Galère Marseille. Written journalist - monthly CQFD. Author and director in the audiovisual field.

Production manager at the Théâtre de la Massue since 2016, he has been following the project "Le Petit Théâtre du
Bout du Monde - Opus II" by Ezequiel Garcia-Romeu's company.

We were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Theo Vodenitcharov on Saturday 18 January 2025.

He and our team travelled the world together and were still working on future projects. His cheerfulness and humour were catching and brightened up our tours, making our working days lighter. The whole team at the Théâtre de la Massue embraces his family and will remember him as a friend of great generosity, sensitive and original intelligence, and great sincerity.
