From our industrial ruins
This latest performance closes the trilogy of the Petit Théâtre du Bout du Monde. It presents the ruins left by the civilisation of iron, coal and oil. Scattered remnants of a world that retraced the chaotic path of utopias and cold war; a memory of workers who lived to the rhythm of their hopes and engaged in endless struggles.

The context
At the beginning of the 20th century, heavy industry was organising forced labour in the service of triumphant capitalism. Emancipation and progress were the promise. But the workers became the sacrified tools of a monster of coal and steel greedy for output and profits.

Intention
Guided by theEstablished by Robert Linhart and La Condition Ouvrière by Simone Weil and the more poetic Leslie Kaplan's l'Excès-l'usine, we'll be plunging into the past, depicting a landscape of industrial ruins, where entire lives were devoured by the factory and the workshop.
