The Studio
The Théâtre de la Massue, in association with l'Entre-Pont, makes its 200 m² working space (contemporary puppet laboratories, set and prop construction workshop) available to around ten companies working in all disciplines of contemporary puppetry, in return for a simple annual membership fee, as part of :
- projects involving the creation of shows, professional events or research;
- organising weekly artistic workshops or one-off courses for amateurs and/or professionals;
- companionships or supported residencies ;
- programming shows and cultural events ;
- the event Éclairage Public in partnership with the Ville de Nice;
- artistic evenings Apérodesastres ;
- professional training courses run by the managing companies, in partnership with the Université Côte d'Azur, UCArt.
Laboratory
Creative Europe Laboratories INEUPUP - INnovative EUropean PUPpetry 2018-2022
This European project, managed and developed by the Théâtre de la Massue - Cie Ézéquiel Garcia-Romeu, offers workshops in research, knowledge exchange and transmission, with 4 international and national partners, including the Université Côte d'Azur (UCA), with its Performing Arts department.
INEUPUP promotes the study of puppetry heritage both by digitising its heritage and by implementing new digital tools with a view to exchanging knowledge. Various meeting modules and research workshops, co-organised with the EUR CREATES of the Université Côte d'Azur, have been organised in the Puppet Space of the Entre-Pont throughout 2018-2019 and 2021-2022.
